ABOUT

Boom Inspection & Repair, Inc. (BIR) began in 2002 after the need for quality, affordable inspections and repair work in the concrete placing industry was realized. In 2003 BIR expanded to crane inspections and repairs; however, concrete placing equipment makes up the greater majority of services performed.

BIR’s founder has been involved in the concrete placing industry since its earliest entry into the American market. Originally, employed by a global concrete placing manufacturer headquartered in the Midwest, he started out in assembly and fabrication, and later moved into a nationwide Repair/Field Service Representative position. These opportunities allowed him to gain specialized knowledge and understanding of the equipment and the industry few others have.

BIR has had the opportunity to work on a variety of recalls, from minor to extensive, for six of the major concrete placing equipment manufacturers over the years. This has allowed for the opportunity to gain an understanding of the strengths and weaknesses among the various manufacturers’ units.

In 1999 the founder first obtained his Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification and then in 2003 his Certified Welding Educator (CWE) certification.

Why replace your equipment when you can repair it, potentially saving thousands of dollars in the end. With over 30 years of welding expertise, gained through specialized training and hands-on experience, and over 20 years of experience in the concrete placing equipment industry BIR should be your first and only choice.
